Service Lines
Each Shareholder is entitled to a 3/4 inch line to connect to the corporation(community) water line. It is the shareholder's responsibility to pay for the installation and maintenance of their Service Line.
- New construction connection fee is $1000.
- Service lines must be buried at least 6 ft underground
- If insulation is necessary, rigid foam board is best. Styrofoam pellets, hay, or fiberglass are not adequate in this climate.
- Any repair or modification to a Service Line must be approved by the Water Master.
Corporation Lines
Most of the corporation (main) lines are 6 inch PVC lines buried deep enough to protect from winter freezing. Each water share owner pays a $300 yearly fee to help maintain the corporation water lines. There is an additional charge of $300 for the use of winter water from November 1 through April 30. Silver Fork Pipeline Corporation currently has 2 bleeders, which are necessary to keep the corporation pipelines from freezing in the winter.
